Episode: Malice for Quake
Level: Area 33
Secrets: Two
Difficulty: Hard

Area 33 - only eighteen 'Areas' down from Area 51. Oh God, that was awful. Sorry. Moving on...

After having snatched the 'all-important' data CD last time around, it's time to get my arse moving and look for the exit out of this hellhole. That's not going to be an easy task what with a rampaging horde of Rioteers wanting nothing more than to club me into submission. Another incomplete Takahiro Raider shows up to try and vary the fighting up a bit but he's silenced before he can make a lasting impression.

Erm, there's really not that much to say this time around since the level's over in the blink of an eye. Rather than take the standard route of exiting the level (which, I assume, is what the game expects of me), I dare to be different and embark on a heroic crusade into the great unknown upon discovering the 'Secret Missions Portal.'

If you bought the original game back in the day, you had to go to a special website dedicated to Malice and download a patch in order to allow you access to the Secret Missions. Thankfully, no such action is required on my part here so it's time to ride that never-ending lift up into two Secret levels that, up until I did this playthrough, I had never played before.

This could prove to be rather interesting.

Secret One: 2:00 - 2:10.

Secret Two: 4:35 - 4:55.

  • Riot gun , as in shadow warrior at 1:38?

  • @cirograddi Sort of. The only difference is the design (obviously), how it fires and the fact that it needs to be manually reloaded after so many shots.

  • Hey dude, love watching these videos, but i'm wondering if you are going to play Serious Sam 3 anytime soon? would be awesome, SS has always been one of my fav.

  • @rawrbot1234 Serious Sam 3 is a game I definitely intend to do a playthrough for but I can safely say, it won't be coming anytrime soon since I've got a lot of other projects I'd like to work on first.

I know there's a lot of people out there (you included) that want me to do SS3 as soon as possible but I'd rather not be pressured into doing it. All I ask is for everyone to be patient and the time will come around soon enough.

  • I like the part where the enemy said "I wanna hit something."

  • I think that Sam would call that minigun a Maxigun.

  • @Votapardo No no, I think you got it all. How dare I try to bring pacifism into the world of First Person Shooters! I go hang head in shame.

  • @galleyuk You dirty pinko hippie Communist Muslim Buddhist bisexual un-American vegan (did I miss something?)! Get out of my violent videogames!

  • @WiiStation360Games I try not to rate games based on a numerical score system since it's all rather pointless in my mind but if I had to score it in that way, I'd give it a generous three out of five.

Why a generous three? Well, because later in the game, the levels start to become more mediocre and not as well thought out as some the levels near the beginning. The final boss level in particular is the perfect example of how NOT to design a boss level.

  • @Votapardo Free hugs for all I say! There'd be no need for all this senseless violence if we learned to love one another a little more.
