  • This was Top of The Hit Parade when I first met my wife to be in 1954. So, it is a bit special for us. We are still together all these years later, after a long and happy marriage.

  • About November 1954 sitting in the PX beer garden at Fort Lee, Va we listened to this beautiful song on the juke box and really wanted to be home. In January 1955 the song followed us to Camp Kelmer, NJ where we were processed for shipping out from Brooklyn Navy yard. On the tiny troop carrier USNS Butner it took us 13 days to cross the cold, rough North Atlantic to Dover and then on to Bremerhaven. I spent the next 2 years in France. Thanks for posting it !

  • @111atrc Think YOU'RE old? Imagine how Kitty Kallen feels!

  • Esta canción estaba de moda cuando nací.

  • This was the #1 song on the day I was born. I just realized I'm old!!!

  • Truly a great song to last for so many years and be just as beautiful as it was in the 1950's. Thank you for letting us enjoy so many memories of long ago.

  • This was the no.1 song when I was born too. I have never heard before now. Kinda like it, and even making me like it more are the beginning comments of how love was found and how you all remember the song. Wonderful!

  • Number 1 in Australia in the month I was born. I think this is the first time I have ever heard it!
