What do I do when not searching out another great horse story to (hopefully) work into a song? I spend some time with my own. I bought my first horse back in 1974, and things sort of grew from there. I've never built any kind of building from the ground up, and from scratch, but I think my new two stall foaling barn turned out quite well for a one man project, even if it did take me almost a year to complete!

  • Those foal pics are great. Looks like you made a cozy home for your friends.

  • The siding on the outer walls is attached with decking screws so I can easily take off a wall and expand it later, if I so desire.

  • Hey, that is sooo awesome!! The foals are adorable!! Especially the little appy!! What kind of horse is the other though?

  • The other is also an Appaloosa. Unfortunately, he didn't get any real App coloring. His dam has two App parents and I bred to her an App stallion, but sometimes those thing happen. I was surprised by his red dun color, however.

  • BTW, I did breed one mare for next year, but I don't know if she'll carry full term or not since my vet says she is carrying twins. She goes in for a follow-up this coming Friday.

  • Your barn looks wonderful! I love little foals, they look adorable =]

  • Many thanks. My webmaster is back online after a long absence, and I've finally got the foals pictures on my website diamond-run-farm com. Got new song files loaded on the song page too, at least for all of the 'horse songs' anyway. "The Songs and their History" at the bottom of the music studio page is a link to the song page itself.
