  • Very fluid, but unfortunately much of it is sloppy and rushed to the point of being rhythmically inaccurate and dropping notes. What's the point of this video? Why turn some nice music into a bunch of stunts? Lot's of potential, but right now it's all sizzle and very little steak. Listen more, feel more, show off less. Just one guy's opinion.

  • While this is semi-interesting and technically impressive (to an extent), the clarinet has so much more to offer than just notes and technique, I don't think he quite understands that yet.

  • or what range of reed strengths and brands do you use? Although I cannot fault you on whatever you are using it would be nice to hear one or two strenghts harder in a Vandoren Rue Lepic.

  • Sam have you ever thought of seriously playing the tenor saxophone, you would not have a lot of competition out there and I mean playing the same music on the tenor sax that you play on the clarinet.People may notice your technical ability and even your exceptional clearness but it is really your resonance and super efficient tone production which I consider the most important area in which you excel. the clarinet needs a good kick up the backside and you are the one to do it. What strength reed

  • @progbrad . In response to the comment you made earlier: 25 people gave what I said a thumbs up. I imagine most of them are musicians, as am I. You might deduce that from the terminology I used. Since you have inferred otherwise I'll share with you that I have been playing and teaching clarinet professionally for over 20 years. I've taught all levels of student from beginners to college music majors. I've had many students playing 1st part in state honor groups, etc. Thanks though.

  • how the heck did he do that at 0:59-1:01??????
