The First Installment of my web design video tutorial series.

When creating a website you gotta start somewhere!
In this short video I will go over the first few steps I take when creating a new website.
Organization is a MUST when creating websites!

Step one: We will create our website folder this will contain all of the files for our website, I'm calling mine LokeePro.com-v3.0 since this is the 3rd revision of my website.

Step two: In the website folder we want to create a folder called "Complete Site", this will hold all of our files that will be uploaded to the web server. We want to separate these files from the actual Source Files for our images and flash files.

Step three: Now we create a folder called "Image-Source-Files" this will hold all of the source files for the images used on our website. All of the .PSD files and raw image files, NOT the actual files that will be displayed on the website.

Step four: Create a folder called "Flash-Source-Files" this will hold all of the source files for the flash on the website. All of the .SWI or .FLA and images used in our flash movies along with the source files for the images used in our flash movies, NOT the actual .SWF files that will be on the website.

It's good to keep all of the source files separate for a multiplex of reasons, but mainly to reduce server space usage and so not just anyone can grab the source files for your website.

Step five: In the Complete Site folder create a folder called "images" this will hold all the final-cut images used on our site.

Now that you have your basic folders created we can begin creating the website!
