Jennifer, THANK YOU for the comment. Several folks have mentioned that I should paint more sunflowers...just in the past two days....Hmmmmm, perhaps, I SHOULD.....:-)

Ronnie I like all the different sunshines you made . That would make an interesting quilt . Sunflowers could work into this also .

69 is really a magic number for these reasons: I'm the 69th visitor to this video and a few days ago I celebrated my 69th birthday. I'm sure there must be other reasons as well! LOVE this video. Thanks for opening my eyes to Harriet Powers. Your painting is beautiful and full of wonder. --Val

I really love the Gee's Bend quilts. Those ladies are awesome. Back in 2006 I saw the Gee's Bend Exhibition at The High Museum in Atlanta. Also, I have the DVD that accompanied the show. That was a GREAT DAY. I was COMPLETELY lost in the show...Quilters are WONDERFUL artists. BTW, I am VERY GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU. You're missed whenever you're not around....Don't hide in your cave for too long....:-)
