Did you know Chopin was also... French? :-o
Some people (especially in the Anglo-US-Saxon world) seem to be unaware of that fact... or just have a hard time swallowing it!

@millriv Cortot was born in switzerland and died in switzerland but lived the most of his life in Paris. He did teach in Paris and gave concerts all over the world.
