is the inner drums useful?could you use the mc09 like a common drummachine?
the chop function works well (not also with drum loops)?
once you adviced me the great st-224, and i'm so happy with.
i like on paper the idea of this weird mc-09.

I bought it on Ebay. The internal drums are kind of weak. You can't chain patterns together to create songs. The chop function works well. You can also pitch a sample across the pads in a sequence. The sampler is good for live looping, but it takes about 2 minutes to save and load a single sample from the (not included) Smartmedia card. Think as the MC-09 as a "Swiss Army Knife" for beats. It can do some cool things, just not all at once.
