As seen on http://www.chevroletvoltage.com, the Chevrolet Volt headed up to Kapuskasing, Ontario Canada for some cold weather testing. Unlike other electric vehicles, the Volt is engineered for all seasons and all climates. Watch as Vehicle Chief Engineer Andrew Farah and Pam Fletcher, Global Voltec and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Powertrain Chief Engineer explain more.

  • Pam Fletcher...attractive to say the least! She wasn't there in 92-93..too bad:(

  • For the record, it was -50 (incl wind) in Kap all weekend. The AVERAGE temp within the last 10 days was -33 (no wind). FYI Not much difference between Regina and Kap.

  • WHERE ARE THE RESULTS??

  • When they say -30, they mean Celsius, right? Are there any results available how much lower is the battery capacity / mileage in cold like this? How long does it take to warm battery enough to drive? What is the impact on overall battery life in temperatures way below 0C? I see blinkers make it impossible to take my car overseas...

  • Ship one up to Barrie, Ont. Can.! :)

  • Good to see all this testing... test test test..

GM seems to be doing it right. What great technology... many will copy.

  • Same here.
