Always love the combination of the excellent Randy Newman's writing, interpreted by the wonderful Barbara. Vocals are so raw on this one... beautiful and conveys the heartbreak of the song

Search for the original version from the "Cop Rock" serial. A mom sings it to the baby sitting on a park bench while waiting for the baby's buyers. Heartbreking scene. That's why the song was written. Randy Newman is a genius and "Cop Rock" rocks.
