Is getting a donor drive the only way to get read / write heads and a actuator arm?

ouch, head crash, grooves in platter,i assume the failing heads caused that by touching the platters? was that drive dropped or bumped while in operation?

How much you charge the customer for that service?

And im pretty curious as to how one becomes qualified to do these kind of things. School, trial and error? Ive been doing alot of research and stuff lately on HDD failure. Pretty neat stuff. I think I have enough screwed up HDD's at the house to mess around with and learn some things.
