G20 Protester Strips on Burning Police Car

A protester sits on top of a vandalized police car on Queen Street West during the G20 protest in Toronto and pretends to light himself on fire. Smoke billows out from under his jacket, where he has his hidden some burning papers. He then dances and begins to strip on top of the car while the crowd cheers him on. Meanwhile, a small fire within the police car begins to grow. Once the smoke from inside the police car starts to get more heavy, he jumps off the roof of the car and gets inside. The crowd notices that he is inside the burning car and starts to chant get out of the car get out of the car. Eventually he is pulled out of the car. Although it's not shown in this video, the protester inhaled a lot of smoke and became very sick afterwards. Shortly after, the police car was totally engulfed in flames.

to label Kirk as a protester is to misunderstand him just about as much as to label him as a cop- this is not a political action, this is not a social commentary- this is a man who is seeking attention and is certainly crazy (and I would imagine high) in a situation where he was essentially encouraged by a number of photographers to do what he wants to do; be a crazy exhibitionist - he's essentially manic, and likely more but I would only be speculating

I left this scene probably 5 minutes before you shot this. There were people there that thought this guy was an undercover police officer. o.O

Rannsack...there wasnt even close to 10,000 cops try half that. And last time I checked there were no serious injuries to any members of the public or police, no terrorist attacks or any breaches of the security perimeter. All of the World Leaders and there staff were kept safe and you worry about some minor property damage. The Good Guys did there job and the Protestors should be ashamed to allow the Black Bloc in their parades knowing full well what violence they bring.
