very fun to watch, but not bellydance. American tribal style was invented in the united states in the mid 80's.

@danomoon I am not sure how what i commented relates to your question. I am not speaking of any bellydance but that that was given birth to in the late 1800's when the first video was taken and grew up during the 20's and 30's. tribal came 50 years later. It is not an insult nor is it a challenge. Simply an observation of fact. Sorry to have offended you within the misunderstanding.

Bellydance is just a commercialized term for a dance form that in its begining had nothing to do with "belly" dancing. Franch ppl brought this term to Europe after seeing oriental dance in Egypt and not knowing its real name. If you knew even a bit about this dance, you'd know that movment with a belly is only one out of so many used in this dance. Btw, this lovely ladies in a video are performing ATS wich has evolved from classic oriental dance. So, it IS belly dance.
