Quark AA Regular XPG R5 beam shot time lapse video of 14500 Li-ion vs Rayovac 4.0 LSD NiMH battery.

TrustFire 900 mAh 14500 Li-ion and Rayovac 4.0 LSD NiMH. Wall is ~20 feet.

    This Quark AA is still going strong on 14500, without any issues.

  • @run4jc No issues at all. The Quark AA (and 123) heads are rated to 4.2 volts. It's unusual that they don't make it more obvious in their literature that the 14500 Li-ion is fully compatible.

    Of course it gets a little warmer than on a NiMH AA, but by no means alarmingly hot. My buddy has been running 14500 exclusively in this light for about 5 months now, and it's still going strong.
