This was quite a while ago but when we did this last spring our Lewis was out for one of the weekends. The understudy had to learn his part in under a week but he did a great job regardless. I hope your show went well!
I've been watching several of these clips you've posted with "Pippin" mainly because I'm in a production of it opening next Friday. I suddenly get the news that I need to understudy both Leading Player and Charles because there's a possibility that either could be out for a show or two. So thanks for posting these... I needed to see these on a stage that wasn't directed by Fosse. Nothing personal, Fosse's great but sometimes it can get a bit tedious if you catch my drift...
The King is incredible, grats to you. Now aside from that, i honestly do not comment to insult, i find it juvenile and quite honestly just disrespectful. In the most non-insulting way i can say this: If you're going to do a show you should really at least know your moves, otherwise it ends up looking quite embarassing for the people onstage...yeah but the king was good.
Really bad!

My husband is multi-talented indeed...he can act, he can draw, and HE CAN SING! (Oh, he's good at other things too, but that's personal...)

The man's talent has no end. Who knew he could sing, too. I'm sorry I miss this show.
