Trance - Running Through Ether

I was in the middle of an FL Studio tutorial video about drum loops when I got the inspiration for this song. I used a strategy that I should probably start using more often, where I make a drum beat first and center the chord progression around it, and center the melody around the chord progression. That's what I did in Mind Energy and it worked well. This time I wasn't focused on any one aspect of the song, like melody, structure or chord progression. Instead it was just about creative strategy. Now that I've got that down for now, I'm going to incorporate more complex and interesting beats into future songs.

Your vid description, I do the same thing... well almost the same thing.

I add a 4/4 kick and then I make a bassline. If I like the bassline I add chords around it. Then stuff just keep popping into my head, and I keep adding it:D
