  • So if your children ask you about true rock and roll, please tell them about Paul Rodgers. He like so few others embodies what it all meant to us who love that special something. The Eagles, Bad Co., Led, Sabbath, Mac, Walsh, Clapton, to know it is to love it.

  • I saw Rodgers many years ago with Steve Miller, Neal Schon and Curtis Salgado. He was using a plain old Shure SM-57 mic. I don't need to tell you about his voice because you can hear it here, but, my standout memory from that entire show was how he is an absolute master at microphone dynamics. He works the mic such that his voice and tone is consistently huge and powerful. As a singer myself, I recall that show often when I perform.

  • @jordanbug They are all great ( Led, Sabbath, Mac, Walsh, Clapton,etc.).I loved Bad Co in the 70's but hearing these songs 40 years later;performed to perfection puts Paul Rodgers in a class of his own as writer and performer. Ony other artist I have seen/heard recently that improved on songs, eally took good care of their voice, etc. is Frampton but Paul Rodgers is in a class of his own.I really did not appreciate just how good these songs we're in the early 70's..

    amicalement

  • I bought the Bad Company album on vinyl in New York in the 1970s. I bought it for "Can't Get Enough (of your Love)" and then I fell in love with this gem of a song on the album. "Seagull" is the kind of song I would lift of the needle and put back to play several times over again. I love the droaning of the D chord. You can play it in a dropped D or put the capo on the 2nd fret and let the E string loose. Just a great little number.

  • Maybe my favorite Rock vocalist of all time. i saw him once in a club in Kansas City in about 1993 or so. He roams the stage with confidence but yet relaxed and not mouthy and in your face like some obnoxious singers. I don't think he hit a sour note the whole night.

  • Just saw Bad Company tonight - Paul rodgers - Incredible vocals - amazing show

  • i saw this and cried in 2007 it was the greatest 3 hours ever!

  • I have grown up loving Paul Rodgers and Led Zeppelin and i am still growing up loving them with the most respect for them than anyone else in this world. I saw Bad Company in Mancester last night and as soon as i left the Arena i started writing as soon as i sat down in the car on my way home . So inspiring i am so glad there is still people like this that i can appreciate .. It looks like we need some real musicians to start coming out in the world. I am prepared to take on this challenge.

  • i agree i saw the firm in dayton oh, i remember that too, what a stage force power
