I feel your pain here. I just got militarily stationed in southern Nevada after spending the last 7 years in Nebraksa. The regular season here starts tomorrow and I'm not terribly optimistic about how things will be after that. Just nowhere near the numbers I used to see in the Central flyway.
i wouldnt give up on southern nevada yet. we have very productive hunts here. the trick is going early season to where the ducks breed, and getting them there, and then in the late season, when they have started migrating, get them on the flyways and the big water. unfortunately as far as breeding goes, its redheads, gadwalls and ruddy ducks! but late season mallard is good.
