DO NOT BUY KAWASAKI My brand new 07 Ultra 250x blown engine

Broke a connecting rod somewhere around 7800rpms and trashed the engine and Kawasaki would not cover it under warranty they say "We dont see a manufacturers defect"...WELL I SURELY DO HOW ABOUT THE ROD STICKING THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE AND THE BITS OF ENGINE FRAGMENTS ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ...Go buy a Seadoo dont buy Kawasaki they dont back their stuff

I loved my Ultra 250x until the engine blew and Kawasaki did not cover it under warranty and leave it up to me to pay the $6,000 bill...and they are just sitting back and letting all their Ultra 250x owners deal with a MAJOR MAJOR problem that is allowing gasoline to get into the motor oil crank case and the gas is making the oil very thin and not allowing the oil to protect the inside the engine parts like it should be able to and also the motor oil level's are raising every second the motor is running because of the gas getting into the oil...it is a problem in about 80% of the Ultras out there and Kawasaki knows about it and are not doing anything about it...and in the 10 months I have owned it I have had to take it in for 5 recalls !!! All in all DO NOT BUY KAWASAKI !!

You know what the worst thing is for jet skis? WATER! Especially salt water!!!!

@10txram It was never ran in salt water I live on lake Michigan I always ran it in freshwater 100% of the time and trailered it home and flushed the system with the garden hose

you probably never flushed it out i flush my jetskis out after every ride and never had a problem the water damage is probably from saltwater eating away at your engine any person with a jetski should tell yu tht i hav a kawaski ultra 250x nd a stx 12f

I flushed it every time I rode and it was never ran in salt water I live on Lake Michigan and always rode there, Everyone needs to face it Kawasaki's Ultra 250's and 260's have major engine flaws (mainly the piston rings) that will cause huge engine troubles/total failures, I grantee you have the gas-in-oil issues that every 250 Ive ever seen has and either dont know it or wont admit it

Sorry about your breakdown. I feel your pain, no matter what the circumstances! Just remember, being an asshole really doesn't help anyone. There is a saying "you catch more flies with honey". I've wrecked shit (not saying you did), told the dealer up front and they happily replaced it; I've experienced this many times. Good luck, and keep us updated, disregard the negative posts.

shit happens dude, my friend has a boat on lake michigan, he had a new searay 38 that he boughtg, brand new!! and his port engine was fucking up.and btw and i have a boat and jetski pn lake michigan (winthrop harbor kenosha area. and i have a 2001 kawasaki 1100 stx di and its fun, it sits in the water and i nevr had any water in the bilge.
