Tumbleweed Backyard Sheds & Tiny Houses Review http://www.tumbleweedbook.com
Have you ever dreamed of building a backyard cottage?
Jay's new book shows you how.

Celebrated designer and Tiny House Guru, Jay Shafer, has reinvented the backyard cottage with his new Box Bungalow. The stunning exterior of each unique design is inspired by American Craftsman style architecture and harks back to an era when quality hand-craftsmanship was revered, resulting in designs both simple and superlatively elegant.

Can you imagine a spare bedroom, office, or yoga studio in your backyard?

This 144 page, full color book includes 6 unique Box Bungalow designs. Each design includes a floor plan, four elevation drawings and a window schedule.
68 pages of instruction with pictures to guide you through the building process.

You'll learn how to:

-Clear the building site
-Build a foundation
-Post and beam construction
-Building and raising walls
-Putting up a sloping roof with rafters
-How to make a gable for your roof
-Installing windows, and doors

Jay wanted to make this as affordable and easy as possible ... and they have done just that. With the Tumbleweed DIY Book of Backyard Sheds and Tiny Houses.

  • I've read a review made by a carpenter and according to him the methods Jay describes are in some cases anything but the right ones. An example of this is digging holes in the ground for the joists and pour concrete into them. This method would cause the joists to decay in a fairly high pace. Well, anyhow I would have liked to see a more critical review.

  • the 20dollar version is pdf... a paperback apparently costs 29...

  • Very thorough review. Thanks! :)
