I can execute the movement faster and cleaner this way. I feel it just as well in the target areas with this method. Again its cause I am a little on the short side.
Hello, Ok first I tried this exercise yesterday and I have to admit it is f****n awsome I am really sore today. I am a mixed martial arts fighter and I figure this will help alot when I want to blast out hook punch's. But there is a small catch. I am a short dude, and the Oly-bar is too tall for me to execute the movement so it transfers past my thighs. In fact it puts me in an awkward position. So me executing this movement properly, the weight ends up close to my thigh anyway.
When the guy in the orange shirt says at 4:36, "I feel like I got a lot more power". Where has he got more power?. He doesn't say. Seems like a shoulder exercise to me?.

Great explanation. A lot of people don't understand that body positioning with these type of exercise makes a huge difference.
