This move works very well, as soon as an opponent passes to side control, one must be quick and execute it quickly. It is difficult if you let your opponent lay and prey on you.

would this work in a street fight??

brother, if you got good BJJ and your opponent takes it to the ground, you will always be on top. I know this from much experience on the street and in the clubs. I have a pretty good guard game but i never get to use it lol. The only time ive been on my back is when i pulled a guy down into back mount and choked him.

Only if you take it to the ground. Cause on the street people just want to knock you out so its yourself who has to take it down on the ground. I have a great guard and love being on someones guard. Why pass it if you can just pound on him from guard. Dnt risk trying to pass it. but for Street fight i love using my Muay Thai. Never been in a fight out on the streets cause i'm a chill dude and usually walk away but if someone's a threat damn he's going down for sure.

@hxcmexi and that's the best way to approach it on the street is to walk away if you can, because on the street that guy could be carrying a knife or a gun etc..
