How to work the ssp (slip, slip, purl). This is a decrease made on the purl side of your knitting, and is a mirror decrease to the p2tog (purl two together). Shown in the English style.

  • This is not correct! This forms a right leaning decrease on the right side, what you want from an SSP is a left leaning decrease just like SSK. After the stitches are returned to the left needle the stitches need to be purled through the back loop! which means coming in from the back of the stitches not through the front as this video shows.
