These guys are harassing the prof, plain and simple. Can you blame him for being pissed when he catches you secretly filming him? You don't edit things fairly, and then you jump in this guy's face in a very belligerent way, misquoting him. This isn't journalism, it's a couple of children trying to be clever.

I understand the purpose—but there is no real evidence of a professor invalidating students rights. And if there *was* something to Darren's claim, he still handled this poorly. This video shows a couple of kids, behind a camera & a trumped up accusation, hoping to catch a reaction they can post online. The students are the ones that look bad. They're not making a real attempt at resolution just ambushing the prof with a camera and repeating the same question over & over without *listening.*

O'Keefe is such a histrionic wannabe-fascist. This is just embarrassing and sophomoric.

O'keefe is a whining bitch.

these poor teachers. you're wasting your time with these fools. it's funny to me when these sorts of people go to school at all! Take a cue from Rush Limbaugh - just stay out. Yet you can't resist.
Rule of law is meaningless to this guy. He lied his way into a federal office. Future Rethuglican =) Palin O'Keefe '12 please.

This guy was in law school?! Hahahahahaha. that explains everything.
Looks like this guy is just a generic agitator.

Meant to write Darren and wrote the prof.'s name (Dienst) instead. If what the prof. was saying is true, that Darren was disruptive, then it's clear: he deserved to be thrown out. Time, place, and manner could also very well be applied to simple social decency. Making a moral judgment and presumptuously taking that as prerogative to deprive the rest of the willing--willing--attendees from hearing the speaker's views is IMO unfair.

I want to first concede that I wasn't there when the professor said something about first amendment rights to Dienst and thus don't know exactly what was said. But, given the almost certain panic that occurred when the police/campus security arrived, the professor may have been trying to state that the freedom of speech was not exercisable during the guest speaker's speech because it was a private affair hosted by the professor or whoever. Freedom of speech is not absolute in the 1st amendment.

God what an annoying little cry baby. You know what I like to do when someone upsets me? Shove a camera in their face and cry the same line over and over again without listening to the response.

I hope this guy gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for the LA plot to tap the phones... 10 years I think is the maximum... we're all rooting for the prosecutor.

That kid with a hat comes off as a complete 8===>
The students who ambushed this professor were clearly not at all interested in rectifying the actual misunderstanding, but hell-bent on provoking him in order to elicit a reaction they could later edit to make him look bad. Its sensationalist b.s. at its best! They try to pass themselves off as muckrakers hunting down injustice, but there is, in fact, absolutely nothing to expose. And they are unbelievably rude and disrespectful in the process. I feel bad for the professor; He seems so kind...

The purpose is, in fact, to expose people who have done wrong. He told a student he had no first amendment rights, and they completely lied about it. There is no reason to defend him, despite your assumptions about his kindness. There's no personal vendetta against the man, anyone who blatantly disregards students' rights deserves to be confronted about it for an explanation.
