IN THIS VIDEO, I am proud to present a video featuring a taxi out, takeoff, several passes, and landing of an SBD Dauntless. This is the second or third time I have seen a Dauntless fly (there are only two in the world in airworthy condition) and am absolutely privledged to see one at New Garden. The aircraft is operated by the Commemorative Air Force and was at Reading's World War II Weekend show the previous weekend.

The music sucks.  I had a friend that was a gunner on this airplane. I loved listening to his stories. this airplane is awesome.

@leesherman100 i mean now days. not during ww2 every-time I've seen photos or videos of this sbd it has fake bombs underneath it

That plane almost single-handedly saved our asses at Midway.l God bless it, a true hero airplane! When the Devastators couldn't get the job done, this thing made mincemeat out of the 'heroes of Pearl Harbor."
