These very touching lyrics reflect the life and love of ELVIS, enjoy! There will never be another Elvis Presley, just many Tribute Artists paying homage to a legend. I believe that Impersonation is a most sincere form of flattery. I'd like to share tale of my remarkable experience while on a humble journey in the footsteps of the one and only "king of Rock an Roll" Enjoy! Please rate It! Comment!
*** Elvis looked right at me and said "this one's for you man, ur gonna like it, I call it Thank Ya Vera Muuch" *** I'm sure you will enjoy this remarkable story...... I've idolized Elvis, and have loved his music for as long as I can remember. Perhaps that is why the events leading up to the creation of this song can seem so real to me, and why I am so committed to bringing this extraordinary song to Elvis fans around the world. This is how it all came about.
It was a night of singing karaoke in honor of Elvis' birthday that left me restlessly trying to sleep on January 8, 2006. Earlier that night a kind gentleman from the audience came over to me and said that he had traveled the world over and heard many Elvis tribute artists, but he had never heard one sing with as much genuine passion as I did. He then asked if I ever saw Elvis in concert. I replied, "No, I once had the opportunity but I couldn't get off work. But, I added, "you can be sure of one thing, if I ever had the chance again I wouldn't miss it for the world" as I chuckled then wished him a good night.
The fan's response, and the words of that kind gentleman created a phenomenal energy within me, that lingered there as I drifted off to sleep, and into an extraordinarily vivid dream. That same kind gentleman approached me, "Don't miss it this time," he said with a smile, as he handed me a ticket stub.
The next thing I knew I was in a front row center seat of an Elvis concert with Elvis just a short distance away. It was a magical show with a wide range of songs and astonishing costumes. There were no breaks for costume changes. Instead, Elvis just faded from one costume and into another. After he sang what seemed to be his last song, Amazing Grace, the lights went dim and the stadium grew silent. Suddenly, a beam of light shined on center of stage, where Elvis stood with his head bowed, and dressed in a magnificent gown of gold woven into lace. As Elvis slowly lifted his head, he seemed to look right at me and said, "This one's for you man, Ur gonna like it. I call it 'Thank Ya Vera Much.'" Then after singing a very touching and emotional song with a very powerful ending, Elvis softly said "Thank Ya, Thank Ya Vera Muuch as a blinding light filled the stadium.
I awoke from that dream with a most eerie sensation, and the catchy chorus of that song still fresh in my mind. Although at first, the rest of the song was just a blur, I found myself later that day unknowingly singing different parts of that song while singing under my breath, to myself as I often do. Over the next several days as other parts continued to come, and with the help of a memo pad, and a pocket recorder that I quickly learned to carry, I accumulated enough bits and pieces to recreate the entire song.
Now years later, after seeking help from several musicians in various recording studios, I have finally recorded my closest version of that beautiful song. Of course my performance and instrumentals could never be even nearly as awesome, but I believe that the words, and the meaning, are still quite special and extraordinary.
Enjoy!! Please rate it, and if you have a minute, drop a line.
Pass it on.........Thank you!
