Vivien and Suzanne

This is the first video that shows pictures of Suzanne, Viviens only child.

Trivia: Suzanne was born October 12th 1933

Trivia: Suzanne was Viviens only living child. Vivien had a total of three miscarriges, all with Laurence Olivier. The first was in 1942, and the baby died within the first couple of weeks, the second miscarriage happened in 1945. Vivien was starring in Caesar and Cleopatra and she had to run in one scene and shout "I am a Queen" but the floor was over-waxed thus making her fall and loose the baby. The third miscarriage happened in 1956. Vivien was only 42 years old at the time and she was starring in Noel Cowards "South sea bubble" she pulled out of the play August 11th. Vivien awaited for her baby at Notley Abbey, but she suffered a miscarriage on August 12th. The baby was five months along, it would have been a baby boy. However, Vivien wanted a baby girl who was to be named Katherine. Sadly enough, she had the godparents, the nanny and a nursery ready for the baby that she lost.

Trivia: In 1958, the Olivier marriage was almost over. Laurence Olivier thought that having a family with Vivien would help repair the marriage. He asked her if she wanted children with him but she refused.

For all the people who are making mean comments about Suzanne, shame on you. She is perfectly lovely, not everybody won the genetic lottery like Miss Leigh. I wonder what some of you look like.

Im afraid Suzanne took more of her characteristics (looks) from her father Lee Holman than from Viv. Grandchildren looks like they did too.

Suzanne definitely looks more like her dad.  And while she may not be as attractive as her mom- I would never call her ugly. I mean the picture at 0:12- shows us a very cute picture of her even though she's only a toddler. I think it's sad they didn't have a strong relationship till later in life. Imagine having an international star as a mother... it couldn't have been easy.

Wtf??? Was her daughter as nutty as she was? That'd be really bloody tragic cos she ain't a looker like 'er ma. Mind you, I, like many audiences, find that nuttiness is only really tragic if great beauty is attached (Marilyn Vivien), otherwise it's just a bloody pain in the butt.

@willy517 While the daughter did not inherit her mothers stunning beauty, she did however become more grounded and mentally stable that her mom Vivien. That says a lot for Suzannes character.

it is a shame that Viv and Olivier could not have a child together. he or she would have been so good looking. it is a shame Viv married this ugly old guy...their daughter is just ugly...short, ugy face.....how could a great beauty have a ugly child like this? it is a mystery to me.
