@shizymynizy I'm not saying that you're saying that this is one, but like you said, you're aware of the differences.
The VW/BorgWarner DQ200 and DQ250 should be pretty quick too, so long as the controller has the next gear already preselected. Best case should probably be either comparable or maybe even faster than the one that's in the 458 Italia (unless their controller has changed since I first read about it) ~80 ms. Worst case (DQ200/250): ~400 ms.

The difference between this transmission and an F1 transmission is that this is a dual-clutch manual, whereas an F1's transmission is an electronic sequential.
Loosely put, it has to do with how the transmission actually "shifts" and why they shift the way they do. (Trust me, you don't want an actual F1 transmission in a road production car.)

@alpha754293 i'm aware of the difference. i never said it had an F1 transmission. I just said it shifts like one. I've driven a lot of other electronic transmissions and nothing shifts as fast as this one.
