Nat: friends. (nods with tears in his eyes) well… bye.
He walks out and Rosie sits on the coach and starts to cry
Sari: you all right?
Alli: I’m sorry I mentioned Henry. I just thought-
Rosalina: I’m fine.
She gets up and forces a smile.
Sari gets up and hugs Rosie
Sari: everything going to be okay.
Rosalina: (sighs) I just can’t picture myself with anyone but Nat. We’ve been together for like forever and everything that’s happened, he’s been there.
Alli: I’m so sorry!
Rosie: it’s not your fault. We were kind of growing apart anyway. (starts to cry)
Alli: you ok??
Rosie: not really. I love him.
Sari: and he loves you. Why don’t you give him another shot?
Rosalina: It’s not that simple anymore. I’m with Henry and he’s with Miranda.
Alli: he doesn’t like Miranda like he loves you.
Rosalina: yeah, but if I get back with Nat, it’ll crush her. She really likes him
Sari: how did you-
Rosalina: oh come on! It’s so obvious! I just didn’t realize he liked her too.
After an awkward silence
Rosalina: well… I don’t want to be a party pooper so I’ll see you guys later
Sari: ok, I hope it works out!
Alli: me too. Bye
Rosie: bye.
With Nat
He walks into someone
Nat: oh sorry
???: wait!
Nat: wha- oh hey
Miranda: Nat I’m so sorry!!! How’d it go?
Nat: not good… She wants us to stay friends. She’s going out with Henry now.
Miranda: oh, Nat! I’m SO sorry!!!!!!!!!!!
Nat: it’s ok. (crying)
Miranda: no it’s not! You’re crying! And it’s all my fault!
Nat: It’s not all your fault!
Miranda: yeah it is! I kept flirting with you and Rosalina broke up with you cause of me!!
Nat: no! she broke up with me because I was flirting with you!
Miranda: No, it’s cause she knows I like you and cause she knows that.
Nat: no, it’s cause she knows I like you, too!
Miranda: no it’s- wait. You like me?
Nat: (blushes) yeah…
Miranda: (smiles)
Nat: um… I got to go… (he turns to leave)
Miranda: wait!
Nat: what?
Miranda: (kisses him)
Nat: (smiles)
After a few minutes of silence
Nat: well… I guess I’ll see you later
Miranda: (grins) yeah. bye.
About a week after that, Miranda and Nat start dating.
A year passes by. Nat and Rosie are still best friends. Nat still loves Rosie and Rosalina still loves Nat but they don’t know that they like each other.
Nat: hey rosie!
Rosalina: yeah?
