This film has NEVER been officially released on DVD until now (April 2010) - via Scorpion releasing. The only DVD available was bootlegged from a scare VHS release.
Vanessa Howard stopped acting after her last 2 films just 'disappeared', this being one of them. It was finally 'found' in 2004 & released on DVD. Vanessa moved to the States in the early 70's after marrying Hollywood mogel Robert Chartoff.
When I was in high school, I loved Vanessa Howard ! She was great acting and great looking in all of the films I saw her star in. She had my undivided attention !
Puts me rather in Mind of 'Our Mother's House' also an odd Brit-flick from the 70s, which is about a brood of children who have to pretend all's well after their mother dies & they're alone. Then their 'father' turns up (Dirk Bogarde) with a floozy in tow (Yoothat Joyce) thinking they can take over ...
I bought some used audio tapes for my Ferrograph tape-recorder in 1975 advertised in Exchange & Mart by a film company. They turned out to contain scenes being rehearsed over and over. I recorded over them all, but one had a few minutes left on the end, so every time I played that tape, I'd hear the same line after the music had finished - "Mumsy, Nanny, Sonny and me, we're a happy family.." It's stuck in my head all these years, and now I know where it comes from. Sad, but it's made my day.
There's a Vanessa Chartoff born in 1948 who passed away in LA in November...I think it may be Vanessa Howard
