Sorry about the loud zoom sound, I just wanted to catch them all and kept losing them when I zoomed in too far ... the music was playing in the background before I saw them and started recording, so I wasn't planning to make it go with the footage ... but the segments of tracks you hear are all by Sepalcure.
I recorded these clips from my window around 6pm on December 11, 2011 ... it's too dark to see, but these lights were flickering over Lake Michigan. My camera's battery kept dying, so these are 3 separate clips where I had to run to charge briefly in between so I could continue filming.
I zoomed in as far as I could at times, and they do look bizarre up close... you can see lights flickering inside and around the edges of the circle, a dark hole in the center, and the lights will flash in different colors ... when you look closely, you'll notice that they're not really circles but have more of a hexagon shape ... you can see that they have six corners.
You might find it worthwhile to watch the full video, since the shapes do keep shifting in form, color and placement... a lot of cool stuff was happening in the sky that evening.

The circular vibrations are a mode from a flat object like a drum.
If air is lighting up then a flat vibrating coil full of electricity might do it.
But why do that when a Tesla ship does all that and can fly away.
