This piece is quite often played as a voluntary before the start of a service to settle the congregation and to set the scene for what is to follow. Fine stuff.

I remember learning this piece about 10 years ago, I pull it out now and again, I find this one very tricky. To play the sixths in the right hand on the second page and get em nice and legatto for me is challanging. Parts of this always feels awkward for me.
Yes it is too bad such a talent died so young.

Yes, I know. It's a tragedy that he died at only 43. His music is so characterful.
