Nemi-Inseparable(Chapter 59)

*Demis P.O.V*
Lucas dragged me past the kitchen and into his living room while holding onto my hand. I stood waiting to see what he was going to show to me. "Stay here", he said while running upstairs. I decided to take a look at his place just to pass the time. A refurbished piano caught my eye and my fingers wanted to feel the keys, play a classical melody. Clair de Lune filled the room. Ive only gone through 1/3 of the song when Lucas came back down with a mysterious box. "You play just like her". I look at the box with a puzzled face he follows my gaze and sets the box down. He reveals a brown hard-faced album dusty and covered with cobwebs." I knew Ive shouldve taped this box up." He turns the pages, until one finally catches his eye. Here, he says while he hands over the album. I gasp surprised. The girl in the picture looks exactly like me. Except she has gray tinted eyes and her birthmark is on her chest. My fingers glide over the old picture.
"Her name was Demitria" he looks up almost in tears. I flinched. Her name was Demitria..

"It might sound crazy..But you look like her, you might even be her." I step back in fright. This could not be me. The false extra in the appearance proves it. The birthmark and her eyes. I decided to get more information into this.
"Tell me Lucas, tell me your history between you and Demitria." I said while walking back to sit on the couch. He followed me.

"I was 4 back then. She was wandering in the wheat plains one day just chasin butterflies. I was watching from afar seeing that she was having so much fun that I wanted to join. I didnt have anyone. I was a poor kid living with a step-dad. Who wasnt all that much close to him. When dads would make their children eat and kiss them later. Mine left me hungry then gave me chores the next. I walked up to her and she just smiled at me. From there she was my best friend. Every day I would wake up to a knock from her and a plate of breakfast. Just that seemed like heaven. Then we run to the lake to swing off the tire swing. "

He starts playing with his fingers and then focuses his gaze back on me.
"Those were the best of my days. She had to move years later, it left me sittin on my window sill wondering if shell ever come back. She did, just to visit me. We were 13 and said California was great. The only difference was that you wouldnt have to worry about no tornadoes." He laughs and smiles.

"It was fun. I realized she adapted quickly, she hasnt changed a bit. And when the night came it was sad to hear that she had to leave the next morning. But before that we laid beneath the trees around lake. And reminisced about the ole days. Then she kissed me. It became a slow night. She made my life so much better. " His smile faded away while he dropped his head and tried to stop himself from tearing up.

"When she left she told me she would come back next summer..But when that summer came I was notified that the plane she settled on crashed. They told me that she was one of the people that didnt survive. " I started crying for somewhat reason I did not know. I felt
sorry and all but deep inside it was something different.

"The weird thing was...I was never introduced to her family. I didnt even think about it I was just happy that I had her. I even wondered if she even had a family. But no doubt that she didnt I mean her life looked pretty heavenly to me. But till now I still hope that shes still alive. I know she is, I can feel our friendship tugging my heart every single second. And when I saw you and led you into the fields it felt real again. Somehow; somewhere in you. Theres Demitria."

I look back at the picture; old like it had been burnt and spilled on with 2 old day coffee. Under the picture was written Demitria&Lucas~1995. Chills revealed across my body as I noticed she had my name except that she had an I instead of an e. Who was this girl? And why does it seem like I knew her?

OMG... I have no idea what to think. I just hope she's not the girl cause I really want her &Nick to stay together! Maybe she has a twin...Or she could be a cousin she never knew about! My friend has 4 different family members with the name 'Arianna'! I guess anything's possible...Updates are great...! Please And Thank You ;)
