In an effort to ensure the identity of the speaker is protected, her name is not revealed, and her voice has been altered.

This is a video expressing one woman's personal opinion about being a lesbian in Korea.

Many of my subscribers have asked for this topic, and I have also received some emails to my YouTube account with questions about this topic.

I will make a video where I share my opinion about being gay in Korea, if you would like to me to. Though I am not gay, I fully support gay rights, and I also have a lot of gay, bi, and lesbian friends.

Please feel free to post comments and further questions here. If I can answer them, I will. If not, I will ask my friend with whom I made this video to make an account and to answer your questions anonymously here.

Any abusive comments will be deleted. Please vote them down if you see them.

Also, men! The gay in Korea male perspective video is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShwONPXdlfM

  • i have a question! what would a gay guy call his boyfriend who's older than him? hyung? or oppa??

  • @krnriceboi619 ~~ i asked my friend, and he said they would say "hyung", and that no guys say "oppa" to other guys.

  • no wonder korea is gay, with so many boyband in there ,so gayyy music

  • @sgal88 - The Christian God DOES tolerate things he did not intent. Why does he tolerate YOU and not a gay person? Through Christ, he tolerates both you and me.

  • @lucasboden Yes, God is love but it doesn't mean He tolerates something he did not intent

  • @meProudToBeCaucasian wait, what does have to do with being gay in korea? ಠ_ಠ

  • seriously get out of korea, white people in america and western europe have no pride anymore,

they go into east asian countries and think they gonna be excepted to realize they arent

there is many culture in white countries like europe that can be interesting and exotic

world is full of self hating whites and racists

  • My parents found out that I am gay when I left my yahoo mail open on their computer when I visited. My mom freaked out and lashed out with Bible verses and speaking in tongues (charismatic koreans) in front of me and told me she would commit suicide if I "came out" You know what? I didn't feel any shame. I felt more shameful and embarrassed for her that believing in a God who is suppose to be perfect in love and compassion would evoke such hate and zero tolerance.

  • I'm Korean and live in the US. Came out to my mom couple of months ago and she cried but was fine with it. She was just worried about how the society treats homosexuals. But I didn't tell her the whole truth. I'm not really gay, I'm trans....

  • I'm glad that these well known Korean based channels like expatkerri and simonandmartina are focusing on the LGBTQ scene in Korea. It brings light to those that are gay and are looking into going to Korea.
