@Xentradi97 Ford now has quite a bit of their popular models built in Chicago, but I'll agree that they do send jobs to Mexico, which honestly makes me sick because there are millions of Americans across the country; desperately in need of jobs. Oh and don't forget KMMG in West Point, GA HIYO!!! So there's the plant in Montgomery, along with this one, plus the quality ratings are only getting higher for Hyundai-Kia.
where are the new GM, Ford and Chrysler cars being built today? Plants in Mexico. Yes, obviously there are more jobs created by the big 3, they are American company after all. But while they are continuously moving their plant South of boarder, Hyundai and Toyota are building more plants within US. New Hyundai Sonata was designed in American design centre and built in American factory by American hands. That's American as it can come.
Korea and Japan buy a lot more from USA than you think. Besides these Hyundais are built by Americans at the Mongomery plant. I think it is good for America.
World market thats a joke, how much USA products does Korea and Japan buy from us .Not raw material but finished products World markets only work when we have a level playing field. . Asia continues to devalue its currency so they can export all they can to North America. You guys kill me with your world markets, Japan is one of the most protectionist countries in the world . If you import any thing to that country you get taxed to death ,
Ford, GM and Chrysler employ twice as many U.S. workers (per car) as foreign automakers (including all the cars they make here). Even with recent buyouts, GM employs about as many Americans as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Subaru, Mercedes, BMW and VW combined. Ford and Chrysler each employ more U.S. workers at a single manufacturing facility than Hyundai and VW employ nationwide.
Ford, GM and Chrysler use twice the domestic content, per car, that foreign automakers use
Worst thing is, these so called AMERICAN companies headed by greedy CEO's shut down the plants and moved Mexico not because the company or the factory was losing money. They did it to make more. And they took that surplus money and splurged on themselves and their shareholders instead of investing on building better cars. This is the real reason why US automakers have gone nearly bankrupt. They were creating poor quality &designed cars that nobody wants.
we sold our hyundai sante fee and got a honda pilot

And in this economic climate you're crazy for not buying one. Hyundai rules the roost for economy, quality and warranty... at a great price.
