This clip is from Ton Pruissen's DVD, The Glory of French Railways Vol. 2 which shows steam and electric power at work on the SNCF in Paris, and the lines to Le Havre and Le Mans between 1947 and 1966, before finishing with the very last SNCF steam working, on the Est region, on the 28th April 1973. • @PLC78690 That's right, my bad, I forgot, the give away is the tender, the trucks are arr tender trucks er bogies.

  • @HunterR909 The Pacifics of the SNCF were all french made/designed. Confusion with the 2-8-2 Mikados, the SNCF 141 R class was american made and designed and brought after WWII.

  • Of the many steam engines the SNCF had were the 4-6-2 Pacifics, Many of them where actually american made, brought to europe during WWII.

  • Amazing how "steamy" trains were back then.
