This is a detailed instruction on how to execute the Atlas Glitch, which gives you unlimited power to kill any enemy, and even bosses with a lot of HP in just a few seconds. It's one of the most useful tricks in Secret of Evermore, and can save up until one hour if applied in a speedrun correctly.

Discovered by myself in 1997.

For a perfect example of using it as efficiently as possible, have a look at this 100% speedrun, that finishes the game in just 2 hours and 4 minutes:

  • @Sigma5656

Wow that was a long time ago, lol.

  • @TimeSpaceMage not really sure with the speed !

  • Do you think this trick would work with your defense too? Exept instead of Atlas, you use defend, and instead of Weapons, you use Armor?

  • geil

  • @reznor07 Yeah Reznor07 I Know

  • It does work with speed in that it brings up the stat to 65000. But it works against you though, because even though my hit % was that high I missed every attack.

  • HELP!! i used cheat to level up quickly and get a weapon and ended up with a weird glitch.

I was fighting a stone monster fire eyes evil twin summoned and then after i died and went to the credits,i loaded the savegame and had every sword in the game+every spell and a weird glitch where my dog wouldn't fight with me

  • @TimeSpaceMage

I thought I was doomed to play through the game with those crappy sound glitches last time I played the game too...BUT!

    Click on the Sound tab

    Then click on Settings

Then change the sound driver to FMOD Direct Sound.

    ENJOY!! :D:D

  • I'm amused by those little splat noises those bugs make when you kill them. It seems very appropriate here!
