I was in Orange County for a week and decided to test out my camera's time lapse function. Ride shotgun with me as I drive from Lake Forest Drive and Towne Center Drive in Lake Forest, California all the way to Griffith Observatory above downtown Los Angeles. Total distance is 57 miles and took one hour almost exactly. To give you an idea, Lake Forest is at the very southern tip of the Los Angeles area so this should provide perspective as to the city's massive sprawl.
The route is Interstate 5, the vehicle is a rental 2010 Toyota Corolla, the GPS is a Magellan RoadMate and the camera is a Canon PowerShot SD790IS on time lapse, shooting one frame every other second. Enjoy.
Pretty neat.
