I admire her greatly, but she does seam to have been a nightmare to work with and a touch too paranoid. Being absolutely convinced at all times that you are absolutely correct does not mean that you in fact are.
"If his authority is being underlined all the time, in the way that mine was being underlined apparently with the authority of the Prime Minister." No Lawson, she was your boss. She actually can't undermine your authority because there is not a single decision that you make at your job where her authority granted by law on that decision is not greater than yours. You really do begin to believe Maggie's earlier description that they were sexist.
@Madskraleine True, in some ways, but Lawson and Howe were cowardly, they had worked with her for long enough and knew that the only way to get through to her was to stand up to her, yet they chose to use underhand tactics and threats of resignation, she was right to stand her ground against these sort of weak politicians who lacked either the capacity or ability to coherently argue a point to her directly.

She must have been an absolute nightmare to work with. So viciously self righteous.

I agree to an extent with Madskraleine. However, Maggie truly believed in Britain and had it's best interest at heart.

What she says from 3:03 to 03:13 could so apply to herself...
