  • I just put the stock on my M&P 15-22, and i cannot get it to go "full auto" - the recoil isn't enough to allow the trigger to reset. I've used everything up to CCI 40gr High Velocity ammo, and nothing works.

My 15-22 has a muzzle break (it's a threaded barrel)... Do you suppose that is killing the recoil enough to make the stock non-functional?

    Thanks.

  • @vikingsofdistinction You have to remember that I replaced the trigger in mine to a Timney 3 lbs pull which is ESSENTIAL. Also, you have to grease the buffer tube and make sure your non-shooting hand is on the magazine well applying as LITTLE pressure as possible. It takes a little practice but if you do these things... well, you see the result.

  • also you mentioned your friend was able to manipulate the springs in order to make it work without spending another $200 for the 3lb trigger. Do you have a link or know where can I find this info? $200 for a trigger isn't an option for me at the moment. I've seen one youtube clip use the JPS3.5T Enhanced Spring Kit (red and yellow trigger) but one viewer's comment was they would only get it to do 2-3 round bursts, nothing like your video. Thanks

  • @swang702 Sorry, I don't know how he did it. Sometimes his would only do three-round bursts as well but it would also cycle fully like you see here.

  • toward the end (6:20-6:25 mark) you've pulled the stock back and forth and the stock won't fall off the buffer tube like mine did. How did you manage to secure the stock in full auto position, as the buffer tube in the MP15-22 is shorter and smaller than a 223/556 version? My stock latches to the buffer tube when locked in semi-auto, but when I switch it to full auto position the buffer tube can slide right off the stock if I pointed the gun downward. Thanks

  • @swang702 That's really strange. Mine locks into place when in full-auto mode as it catches the last hole in the buffer tube as you can see. I didn't do anything different to make this happen. Sounds like the holes in your buffer tube might be wearing a little bit?

  • @swang702 - had the same problem with the AR. Reason for that is the lock screw was wound too low to catch the tube rectangle. The solution is simple and the slide stock provides for it in the form of a whole on the top of the tube. Just unscrew to allow the lock screw to come further up into the hollow of the slide tube. Be careful not to screw completely off. This methods exposes a larger bit of the lock screw enabling it to latch into the rectangle portion of the buffer tube.

  • @vermilck My rifle is brand new, as I removed the slidefire stock I see the end tip of the buffer tube getting scratched. Someone else wrote of the same problem on the web. Now I wonder if S&W have changed the size of the 1 piece buffer tube. I'll contact S&W and see. Thanks

  • @selelpimp Yes, used a Timney 3lbs pull single-stage.
