Tag yourself, if you like! This was all one take, as you can tell by the 'ums'. Jethro did this about two months ago, and there are more to be found if you go looking. So interesting to hear the regional differences. Yay linguistics!

Thanks for giving this a go!
You bring up a good point about the words in general, I think we do say they differently depending on how they're used.
Oh, I had to try pronouncing "comfortable" the way you did-- it took few tries to get out of my idiom!

You're welcome, Jethro! It was fun, as you can tell by the giggles.
I thought of another one, after the fact. Route! Route (root) 66, vs. Rural Route (rowt - ow, as in "ow, that hurts!', not 'ow' as in 'bowling' or 'Rowling'. Rural routes are a Canada Post thingy.)
Glad you got a charge out of 'comfortable'. I can haz video response, so I can hear it? :0) No pressure....

I still need to do this meme . . .
I pronounce Caribbean differently too, depending on context. Actually, I think I only pronounce it differently when referring to one of the movies.

Oh, good. Glad I'm not alone in my inconsistency.
I look forward to your versions of these words!
