Please forgive my stuttering and half put together thoughts in this video... The lessons that I try to introduce is playing your opponent's board more than your own, and to always apply pressure to your opponent whenever he catches a bad card and keep him on the defensive... The smart aggressive player in Heads Up Razz is always the winner in the long run of things...

  • And about the last hand, u made 7 low but no Ace, let's say he had 7 low but with an Ace, does he win or do you both chop?

  • @oleHABSole Typically if both you and your opponent both have the same low, having an ace or not really doesn't make much of a difference only because in razz your 5 card hand is counted from your biggest low card in your 5 cards to your lowest card... So for instance let's say that my hand is 7,5,4,3,2 and my opponent's hand is 7,6,3,2,A my hand wins because my next card from my 7 is a 5 which is a lower card than his 6, making my hand lower and therefore the best hand... Hope this helps

  • What is the difference betwwen these two hands 2-5-5 / K-2-5? does one have a better chance of winning? I just need to know how pairs and trips work against making the low?

What if we have the same low (A,2,3,4,6,)but I have a pair and he/she doesn't, do we still chop?

At 2:40 you still have A,2,6low but u fold cuz of the trips?or cuz u put him on 4 low cards?

  • @oleHABSole On your first question starting with a pair is actually slightly worse than having a high card just for the sole fact that despite starting with a 3 card K low, you are actually 2 cards away from having a made low hand, whereas if you start with a pair, then you only start with 2 cards to a 5 low, where you need to catch 3 additional cards to make your hand, and starting off with a pair can possibly lead to getting 3 pairs although rare and your low hand would be a pair which is bad.

  • @theloveshack18 Also please note that if you are learning the game of Razz, then I would strongly suggest that you do not use my hand selection to start out playing because in heads up Razz I am playing my opponents hand more than my own and I take advantage of playing truly terrible hands that they can't see because I am putting pressure on them when they catch a bad card and I also try to represent that the card that I hit helped my hand, even though it might have made it worse but they dk it.

  • @theloveshack18 On your 3rd question about the A2346 hand be sure to count your 5 card Razz hands from highest to lowest so A2346 is actually 6432A or a 6 low, and if you both have 6432A exactly then you will chop it regardless of what your other 2 cards are... And on my 62A low with my 3 deuces showing it doesn't really matter much what my opponent has because if I am showing 3 deuces then my opponent knows that there are very little cards I can hit that will not make my hand very bad...

  • @theloveshack18 Instead of starting out with Razz heads up I would highly suggest that you start out with full ring games to learn hand starting requirements and to practice counting your hand to see what your low hand is. Remember that in Razz straights and flushes don't count against your hand but pairs, trips, and high cards do. Every hand you have to discard either your 2 highest cards or 1 card from your pair if you get it. So for instance lets say you have J95332A, your hand is 9532A...

  • enjoyed this, thanks

  • Good video enjoyed watching, you were running pretty damn good though lol.

  • @oleHABSole ...Another easy way to compare two hand values is to think of them as 5 digit numbers. So in the example you gave, 86541 is a lower number than 87541. So 8654A wins.

  • @theloveshack18 Thanks that helped me a lot. I have 1 more question, if me and my opponet both have A-8 low after all 7 cards are dealt, do the cards in between count? does 8654A beat 8754A?
