  • Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately Dave Neis, the little guy on the left, passed away in Oct. 2008. He will be missed. Hopefully you will see new videos in the future when we find a replacement. (We will never be able to truly find a replacement for Dave, he was one of a kind!!)

  • Beautiful harmony. Wish those days of

barbershop quartet singing would come back.

  • We recently attended a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. check out "Ain't A That Good News" and "The Irish Blessing" on 080425. One of our better performances.

  • What a fine quartet! You look and sound great.

  • You got it right. Tenor, lead, bass, baritone. We never replaced the tenor and our baritone had a kidney transplant about a year ago so singing barbershop was put on the back burner. Maybe someday the band will get back together. I am the lead an I sing a lot with the baritone singer. Norm leads "traditional" music at our church and I sing with him along with singing contemporary music with our later church service. I enjoy the opportunity to sing but I miss the barbershop.

  • It is so difficult remembering bass when I grew so accustomed to lead in this song. Luckily -- as my director said -- I have a great ear for detecting notes so all I have to do is stand near the other basses and I'll do fine!

Aha, thank you for putting this up. It's similar to how my barbershop group sings it, so I can practice. Did you guys line up tenor, lead, bass, baritone from left to right?

  • I'll see if I can find the music online. It doesn't show up when I google it.

  • @modeysdad :( i like his mustache though :)

  • @mortimerjs

Beautiful comment, thanks. I just bet the ladies swoon when you sing. I know I would.

  • Love that song! Thanks for inspiring many more generations!
