Star Trek (The Original Series Theme) Piano Arrangement - Alexander Courage

In my mind, the original theme to Star Trek is the definitive and back in 2007 I found an arrangement of the theme for piano in the excellent 1996 book 'Inside Star Trek: The Real Story' by Robert H. Justman and Herb Solow, who played key roles in the original series.

The arrangement was the original 'example' score provided by composer Alexander Courage when the theme was originally composed for 'The Cage' in 1965.

The theme was originally constructed to incorporate lyrics by the creator of Star Trek Gene Roddenberry. In order to get the arrangement closer to the original recording used throughout the series, I had to adapt the piano arrangement slightly, with the eventual intention of learning how to play it!

This is the result! Produced on Sibelius 3 back in 2007.
