Some tips for people with little photoshop experience on how to fit images without stretching them when resizing for theme making and wallpapers. The pictures I resized in this video are for the Sidekick LX, You can download the finished images from my blog.

  • can u only do this with adobe ps

  • most image editors should be able to do this, you can try GIMP as an alternative.

  • when i try my pic comes out nasty on my sk lx do u use pixels/inch or pixel/cm and what do u set it to?

  • pixel/inch, you probably have it set in a low resolution, try using 300 pixels/inch resolution, that works good for me.

  • I can't strech the image like that. I have no box going around the image.

Last time i had to press ctrl and something !

  • Select the Move Tool and on the top bar make sure is checked next to where it says "Show Transform Controls".
