i think jkd was really about anticipation and timing, bruce lee most likeley just had nice kicks so he used them.

@Soukyfi Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. You are correct sir!! Bruce and Mr. Inosanto were already exploring the use of muay thai techniques, grappling (judo and jiu jitsu) about the time Lee passed. Bruce studied with the great Gene Lebell (A Judo & Wrestling badass).

i was always taught the signature of jeet kune were the elegant, fast paced, graceful and powerful kicks. not the excessive punching and pushing i see this guy doing. still great martial arts, but i miss bruce lee's buoyancy.

@lostkeychain - The signature of jeet kune is the philosophy that you are allowed and encouraged to alter it to your own needs, style or goal. It is not a fixed system.
