Sokka and Toph were in love, until Toph's feelings started mixing up, and she began liking Aang, and broke up with Sokka.
It's been a while and Sokka is still in love with Toph, and can't get her out of his head. Every time he looks at her, he remembers all the great times they had. He asked her if Aang was worth it, and they ended up in a fight, leaving Sokka angry and Toph realizing that Aang wasn't worth it at all. They end up talking again, but they don't fight. :)
