It also happened to me. I've lost just about 20 hours of playing. Then I started a new campaign, but without saving in this room. A tip: DON'T SAVE IN ENGINEERING ROOM, EVER! A thing like this could happen.

Yea, one time I got stuck inside the railing that's up by the star chart. Had to go back three hours....man was I pissed....
