@oliefisher hey im great with computers but i sold a old fujitsu siemens laptop to a friend it has 256mb ram and a 800mhz p3 and i am wondering with 1gb of ram i can get for 10 pounds would it run windows 7 reasonably cause it runs xp pure shit with the current ram she thinks it is ok but personally i cant stand it because im used to speed lol but i cant find any vids with 1gb ram and was wondering if it would be worth while and if it would atleast run xp quite well

holdencruze - I actually used a Nvidia FX5200 128Mb Graphics Card, the onboard card was disabled as it was Junk. The Graphics Card I used gave a reting of 2.7 if i remember correctly, anyhow the 1.5 is for the memory no suprises there, the processor being 1.9!

Most likely yur pentium 3 computer wont recognize the full 160gb hard disk, 128gb is often the limit for older computers, however it will find 128gb of your 160gb hard disk and u can use that. 512Mb Ram should be fine, this is often the limit for older Pentium 3 Motherboards.

Yh I think Vista installer looks for 512mb ram, so 448mb being fairly close it let the installer proceed, however i have seen utilities on the web to allow you to run vista on 256mb ram (although dont recommend this at all, would run like a dog!)

Because mine is a later socket 370 version of the Pentium 3.
