Minecraft style building mod for Sauerbraten

This game is being developed using the excellent Sauerbraten (sauerbraten.org) engine. It allows real-time editing of the game world on any scale using an octree terrain system. All art is currently stand in art from Sauerbraten and is neither owned by me, nor will it be in the final version of the game.

Yes the game looks alot like Minecraft, it is heavily inspired by Minecraft and is in the same genre, but it will be very different from minecraft in many ways, with an emphasis on team play and pvp as well as building. I'll be posting more videos as the game takes shape, and will create a website where you can download the client once I feel it is ready.

@AndTuts Actually enough people have mentioned this now and I think it's a good point and one I'd like to clarify: this is a mod for the game Sauerbraten, not it's own full game, and in retrospect the name of this video is misleading. I'll see if I can change it.

Ah Sauerbraten, I've totally played that free game before and it was a heck of a FPS multiplayer blast. I never do maps though because I always seem to get kicked out of them even when I did no harm.

Yes, Sauerbraten's map editing does look a bit like Minecraft but it's much more advanced. A finer degree of flexibility can be done my creating smooth wall designs. But a Minecraft style mode for building sounds good for quick and easy designs. Great demonstration of the Sauerbraten mod.
